Conservation Pledge.... I give my pledge as an American to save and faithfully defend from waste, the natural resources of my country--its soil and minerals, its forests, waters, and wildlife.

                      Welcome to the web-site of PGF&G Club

We provide this site as a public service to those seeking information about conservation, fishing, hunting, and outdoor recreation within the state of Maryland and also as an introduction to our club.

             A Brief Club History

In 1937 a group of Prince George’s County citizens, concerned about the apathetic attitude toward the environment and the decline of fish and animal populations founded the Princes George’s Conservation Association.

The stated purpose of the organization was to—

1. promote by education, and all other lawful means the protection and wise
    management of all of Maryland’s Natural Resources, including land’s, forest’s,
    minerals, fish, and game;

2. propose and support reasonable laws toward these ends;

3. support State and Local organizations with their works of conservation.
